When God allows lies to speak … Grace is patient.

When God allows his teachings to be banned … Grace is patient.

When God allows the martyrdom of his people … Grace is patient.

When God allows the distortion of marriage and sex … Grace is patient.

When God allows global diseases, natural disasters, and violence … Grace is patient.

When God allowed his innocent Son, Jesus, to be sacrificed for our disobedience … Grace was patient.

When God allowed Jesus to be raised from the dead so we can be raised too … Grace was patient.

When God allows Jesus’ love to shine through our work in a hate-filled world … Grace is patient.

When God allows the free gift of faith in Jesus to jump-start dead hearts … Grace is patient.

When God allows us mere immortals to tell this good news in Jesus’ name … Grace is patient.

When God allows a stay of judgment until that gospel work is done … Grace is patient.

“The law was brought in so that the trespass might increase. But where sin increased, grace increased all the more, so that, just as sin reigned in death, so also grace might reign through righteousness to bring eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Romans 5:20,21).
